Interior Finishes & Colour Selection
Beauty in every detail
The Interior Finishes and Colour Selection design service is perfect to help with decision making very early on in either a new home build or a home renovation.
In these projects, an entire design style needs to be implemented across multiple rooms and involves a lot of decisions about colours, materials and finishes for both internal and external elements of the home.

These decisions can sometimes feel overwhelming, and poor planning upfront can result in regrets later which can often be difficult or expensive to change.
Investing early on in the process will help you to get the best results in the longer term, and ensure that you have a cohesive and harmonious design scheme that aligns with your preferred style.

This design service cost starts at $750 for interior selections of a standard 3 bedroom house.

01
Initial Consultation
We always start with a complimentary 30-minute Initial Consultation, which can be booked online.

During this call, we'll chat about your project and what you're looking for in terms of interior design services; what your timelines are and how I can help you. I'll give you an overview of the design service packages available and answer any questions you might have.
After the call, I'll send you a free Design Proposal with all the details you need to know. No pressure, no obligation - this is just a chance to see if we're a good fit for your project.

Once you've accepted our Design Proposal we can get started on your project. We'll work together to agree on a start date and book a Design Consultation to kick things off.
02
Design Consultation
This is where we'll deep-dive into your project and discuss everything we need to get designing. We'll discuss your decorative preferences to define the design theme & design style for your project to ensure that we create a design that you love!
In this phase, we'll define the scope of selections to be included. This is typically includes internal elements such as cabinetry, tapware, flooring, paint, tiles and bench-tops, but can also include external elements such as the building facade, roof and window frames.

If you are working with a builder that has specified inclusions and suppliers, I will work with those options. Alternatively, I can help you source materials from independent suppliers.
03
Design Concept
The preliminary Design Concept provides a visual representation of the recommended options to help you visualise what the end result will look like. This will include images & physical samples (where possible) and is an opportunity to check in and ensure that you're happy with the direction that the design is going.
I'll share the initial design plan which may include options for how the finishes could be used in different combinations, such as kitchen cabinetry and tapware.

This is a good time to review other building plans such as electrical plans to future-proof decisions and optimise design, quality, comfort longer term e.g. making provisions during the build for future home automation, accent & feature lighting.

All decisions and feedback during this phase will be incorporated into the final Design Plan.
04
Design Plan
We'll meet a final time where I'll present the personalised Design Plan for your project. The Design Plan includes two detailed documents that represent the scheme and selections to be included in the final design.
In addition to the Design Concept, which is the visual representation of the overall design theme, all items selected for the design will be fully itemised in the Design Schedule.

The Design Schedule is an essential document that comprises a comprehensive list of fully itemised products & materials that are specified for the project.
This will include full specifications of all items included in the project - paint colours, materials & finishes for walls and floors, fabrics for window coverings, and fixtures and fittings such as taps and door handles. All items will be fully detailed including make, model, dimensions, costs and a link to a supplier/s where the item can be sourced (if not from your builders' specified range).
